My Mountain View serves as the Master Plan for the Town of Mountain View. My Mountain View is organized into 13 Chapters. Chapter 1 serves as the introduction to the plan and
can be removed to be used as an executive summary of the plan contents. Chapters 2 through 4 contain information on existing conditions, regional analysis, and the resource inventory. These chapters explain the population living in the community, the economic development considerations of the region, and the resources available in the immediate vicinity. They paint a broad picture of the community regarding economic development. Chapter 5 overviews the robust community engagement effort the plan has gone through. It overviews the community survey, the open houses, the intercept interviews at local locations, and the steering committee meetings throughout the planning process. Chapters 6 through 11 contain the substance and directives of the plan. Each of these focus areas contain a guiding principle, goals, and implementation steps to complete each goal. All implementation steps are either a policies, action steps, or collaborative measures to ensure the themes of the plan are brought to fruition. This is illustrated below. These chapters also contain opportunity areas and economic development strategies. Chapter 12 moves on to analyze strengths and constraints related to the focus areas of the plan. Lastly, Chapter 13 contains a deeper explanation into the implementation of the policy, action step, and collaborative measures discussed in the earlier chapters. All together, My Mountain View offers a comprehensive overview of the community and should be used to guide community decision making to achieve economic development objectives in the future.
