AVI currently uses Leica GPS Total Station for our
surveying needs. This system is a one-person GPS
topographic, stake-out, and control surveying system.
The Leica GPS Total Station is a cost effective realtime
GPS survey receiver, based on Leica’s most field-proven
GPS technology. It provides centimeter-accuracy in a
few seconds while actually occupying a point. GPS Total
Stations, consisting of the receiver, radio link and hand
held Survey Controller data collector, are designed for
everyday land surveying tasks, including topographic,
stake-out, cadastral, boundary and local control work
and provide dramatic productivity gains over traditional
surveying methods. An entire survey can be conducted
by one person.
The GPS system eliminates repetitive
set-ups as the system is capable of allowing data collection
up to a twelve mile radius around the initial setup point.
To augment AVI’s GPS System, AVI also utilizes robotic,
reflectorless Leica Total Station and Leica digital levels
for those projects with limited GPS application. |
