AVI has extensive experience in providing design and construction management services in all types of
Public Works projects for numerous Counties, Cities, and Towns throughout Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region. These services include
water distribution, sewage collection, water treatment, sewage treatment, storm water management and street
reconstruction.

CHEYENNE LEADS BUSINESS PARKS

In the early 1990’s, AVI completed the Cheyenne Business Park Master Plan; in addition to final design, surveys, and
construction management for six miles of sewer, seven miles of water distribution system and over three and a half miles of new roadway construction.

Similarly, in 2005, AVI completed a Master Plan for the development of the North Range Business Park (NRBP)
west of Cheyenne. The Master Plan was implemented immediately upon the announcement of the Wal-Mart
Distribution Center to be located in the NRBP. AVI performed survey, design and construction management for four miles of sanitary sewer, two and a half miles of watermain including a booster pump station and over two and a half miles of roadway construction totaling over $5.8 million.

Cheyenne Airport Runway Retaining Walls

PERSHING BLVD PHASE III

The Pershing Boulevard project consisted of 1,922 feet of major arterial roadway reconstruction. The roadway was widened from a 46-foot asphalt section to a 72-foot concrete section. Replacement of 12-inch water main and some sanitary sewer main was also completed. Extensive storm sewer improvements consisting of 6’ by 4’ box culvert, 36-inch PVC and concrete pipe with innovative “Type R” inlets were installed. The storm sewer discharges into a fully landscaped storm water detention/public park area known as Pando Park. Three intersections were reconstructed with signalization. This project required
extensive traffic control measures to maintain the 40,000 ADT’s effected on three major arterials. Comprehensive public relations was required to coordinate all activities with the multiple agencies involved, and keeping the public advised of the project status.

CHEYENNE AIRPORT

As part of the Runway 8/26 Relocation Project for the Cheyenne Municipal Airport, AVI performed the design and construction inspection for the relocation of 1300 lineal feet of 24” ductile iron pipe water transmission main, and installation of 1415 lineal feet of MSE block retaining wall. The 24” water main is a primary supply line for the City of Cheyenne’s water system. Total maximum height for single retaining wall was approximately 19-feet. Total exposed height of the two retaining walls is 28-feet.
